Several areas in and around Forest Lake with Frontier phone service are experiencing phone problems. According to public safety officials, those with Frontier phone service may not be able to call 911 from a land line during this time. In case of emergency, public safety officials encourage those who cannot call 911 on a land line to call 911 using a cell phone. If you don’t have a cell phone, locate someone with one to make the call. In Chisago County, Sheriff’s Office Captain Brandon Thyen noted that people can also respond to their local fire department, where staff are standing by until the problem is fixed.
It is not currently known how long the phone problems will last.
